NCI Remote Apps provides access to your HOME (H:) and GROUP (L:) drives, email, Microsoft services like Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive, and various applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) from remote locations, such as while on travel or working from home. Azure Remote App is nothing but an azure service which lets you run your existing on premise applications in Microsoft cloud. In a nutshell, it empowers and gives peace of mind to application administrators to host their enterprise on-premise applications on azure and leverage existing capabilities of azure infrastructure e.g. Grow your business with Microsoft 365 for Partners. Enable your customers in the cloud with one source for all the training, support, and tools you need. The app will guide you through setup on your enrolled Xbox console. This includes a test to ensure your home network, console and controller are ready for Xbox remote play. Since the debut of RemoteApp in Windows Server 2008, Windows users have been able to enjoy remote applications with the same look and feel as local applications. RemoteApp and Desktop Connections is a new feature in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 that builds on this by bringing RemoteApp programs to the Start menu, giving them the same launch experience as local applications.

You can control a remote PC by using a Microsoft Remote Desktop client. The client can run on almost any device, including on your mobile smartphone. The client gives you the same powers you would have if you could reach the PC's keyboard. Through the client, you can:

  • Operate the apps that are installed on the PC.
  • Access the files and network resources of the PC.
  • Leave the apps open when you end the client.
