I was browsing the forums and stumbled upon this interesting (I think) circuit using a dual gate FET as the core of a regen
viewtopic.php?p=22455#p22455
I just don't like two things in the circuit, first of all I'd add a simple antenna buffer stage, so that the oscillator won't radiate RF through the antenna (and possibly to be able to attenuate the input signal, if needed) also, I think that directly coupling the AF output from the detector to the AF amplifier volume pot, may detune the circuit when adjusting the volume, so I think that adding an AF buffer stage and placing the volume control after it, may be a good idea; am I wrong ? And, if not, any idea for the above two stages ?
